Yonkers Comic Con 2025 – Capturing Creativity at the Riverfront Library

On Saturday, September 27th, 2025, the Yonkers Riverfront Library hosted the third annual Yonkers Comic Con, a celebration of comics, cosplay, gaming, and art. Once again, I had the honor of being the official photographer for the event, and this year’s turnout was the biggest yet. The library was packed with families, fans, and creators from all over Westchester and beyond, each bringing incredible energy and enthusiasm to the day.

From the Hall of Heroes Art Exhibition to the Cosplay Power Pose Show, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Vendors filled the main hall with collectibles, comic books, and handmade art, while kids participated in storytelling and creative workshops. The atmosphere was fun, inclusive, and full of community spirit—exactly what Yonkers Comic Con is all about.

As a photographer, I was especially inspired by the creativity of the cosplayers. Every costume told a story, and it was amazing to see how much effort and imagination went into each look. Early in the day, I was shooting inside the auditorium, but I wasn’t completely satisfied with the lighting. So, I decided to make a change—setting up my off-camera flash outside the venue and photographing cosplayers as they were leaving. This quick decision turned out to be one of the best choices I made all day. The outdoor setup allowed me to capture vivid, dynamic portraits that really highlighted the detail and personality behind each cosplay.

Every year, this event grows—not just in size, but in energy and creativity. Yonkers Comic Con continues to bring together people who love art, comics, gaming, and storytelling, and I’m grateful to help document those moments through my lens. I’m already looking forward to seeing how it evolves next year.
