Mood Haus x Yonkers Arts: A Night of Music, Culture, and Community
Yonkers continues to prove itself as a hub for creativity and connection, and the launch of Mood Haus, in collaboration with Yonkers Arts, was the latest example of that energy.
Set inside the Art of Food Exhibition, this event blended visual art, live DJ sets, and great food into a night that was more than just a party—it was a networking space for creatives, filled with good vibes and positivity.
The Experience: From the start, you could feel the energy in the room. The DJ lineup was stacked, with @AmentheProducer, @lananita__, and @ptm_dualita each delivering fire sets that kept the crowd moving. Their mixes of R&B, Afro Beats, and Spanish Fusion House gave the night a unique soundtrack that perfectly matched the art-filled gallery setting.
Guests enjoyed drinks and bites from Pastelito Lady, serving cultural favorites that paired perfectly with the vibe. Between the food, music, and art, every detail added to the sense that this was something different—an intentional space for connection.
More Than a Party What made Mood Haus stand out was that it wasn’t just about dancing and drinks. The limited 80-person RSVP list kept the event intimate, giving people the chance to meet, talk, and truly connect. The gallery space made for a refreshing backdrop, transforming a traditional art exhibition into a cultural hub.
This balance of party energy and networking opportunities made it clear that Mood Haus was designed for the community—by the community.
Behind the Lens As the photographer for the night, I had an amazing time capturing the energy and raw emotion of the event. It was easy to see how much fun everyone was having, whether they were on the dance floor, at the bar, or enjoying a pastelito while catching up with friends. Personally, I’d love to see the RSVP list expand a little for future events. Yonkers has a growing creative scene, and it’s exciting to see spaces like this bringing people together.
Natalie’s Thoughts: I had the chance to ask Natalie, one of the hosts, what she would keep the same and what she might change for future Mood Haus events. Here’s what she said: Keep: “Multiple DJs and limited RSVPs so people can network and talk more.” Change: “Stick to themes because they’re more fun and make people feel more united since they’re contributing to the theme of the party. Hand out more props, take more group pictures, and start the event a bit later.”
Closing Thoughts Mood Haus showed what’s possible when art, music, and community come together in Yonkers. It’s about more than entertainment—it’s about culture, positivity, and building connections.
