Trivia Night at Ridge Hill – Summer Fun in Yonkers, NY

On Tuesday, August 12th, 2025, Ridge Hill in Yonkers, New York came alive with friendly competition, cold drinks, and community spirit. Hosted by AJ from the 914 Collective (Instagram: @the914collective ), the two-hour event ran from 6 to 8 p.m. and brought together locals and visitors for an unforgettable summer trivia night. I had the honor of serving as the event photographer, capturing all the laughs, cheers, and victories. Postponed But Worth the Wait Originally scheduled for July 31st, the event was postponed due to rain — but the reschedule didn’t slow anyone down. We still had an amazing turnout with over 20 trivia teams, despite the 90-degree heat. As the sun set, the weather became perfect, making for an ideal summer night outdoors.

How Trivia Night Worked Teams of up to five people competed in a variety of categories, including: History Movies Science & Math Music Three winning teams took home Ridge Hill gift cards and other shopping-related prizes. Even better, this was an all-inclusive event — anyone walking by could sign up, even after the game had started. Drinks & Atmosphere.

The Bronx Beer Hall was on-site, offering drinks to participants and spectators. Players 21 and over received one free beer with registration, a refreshing bonus on a hot evening. The mix of families, friends, and new acquaintances created a relaxed, friendly vibe that kept the energy high from start to finish.

A Participant’s Perspective: I spoke with Melody, a teacher in Westchester County, who summed up the night perfectly: "It was such a fun night, the outdoor seating made it feel so relaxed, we laughed the whole time, and honestly, win or lose, it was just about being there with good company. Trivia night at Ridge Hill was so much fun. AJ kept the energy up, and I couldn’t get enough of the music questions."

Why Ridge Hill Trivia Night Was Special From the inclusive format to the lively atmosphere, this event proved that community gatherings are still one of the best ways to spend a summer evening in Westchester County. Whether you came to win, grab a drink, or simply enjoy the sunset, there was something for everyone. I’m already looking forward to the next Yonkers trivia night at Ridge Hill. Until then, enjoy some of my favorite photos from the evening below.
