SantaCon Yonkers Brings Holiday Energy to Downtown Yonkers

Yonkers Brewing Co. SantaCon

SantaCon Yonkers brought festive energy to Downtown Yonkers during the quiet week between Christmas and New Year’s, turning a normally slow stretch into a lively night of community, celebration, and local support. Created by The 914 Collective in partnership with the Downtown Yonkers BID, this first year event set out to bring people together while highlighting the restaurants and bars that help shape the downtown scene.

The night kicked off with a family friendly holiday stop at Dos Marias before moving into check in at Yonkers Brewing Co. where guests picked up wristbands and event passports. From there, the SantaCon route guided participants through Downtown Yonkers, with stops at Guapo, La Bella Havana, La Cantina, Francey Brady, and ending back at Yonkers Brewing Co. Each location brought its own vibe, music, and holiday energy, making the crawl feel fresh at every stop.

The turnout was great, with close to 40 people joining in on the fun. You could feel the excitement throughout the night as friends laughed, shared drinks, and enjoyed exploring Downtown together. One of the best parts of the evening was how smooth everything ran. There were no issues at all, just good energy, lots of laughs, and plenty of holiday cheer.

A big shoutout goes to AJ from @914collective for putting this together. Last year he also hosted a Downtown Yonkers St Patricks Day bar crawl, and it is clear he has a strong vision for bringing people out and supporting local businesses. Events like this are exactly what Downtown Yonkers needs, especially during slower weeks.

The night wrapped up at Yonkers Brewing Co., where the Solara band played classic hits and kept the crowd going late into the evening. It was the perfect way to close out a successful first SantaCon Yonkers and set the tone for what could easily become a new holiday tradition in the city.

SantaCon Yonkers proved that when community, local businesses, and good energy come together, something special happens. Hopefully this is just the beginning of many more Downtown Yonkers events to come.
